Description

The EuroForm Z Counterform is ideal for cast-in-place concrete countertops where a thinner (1-1/4" thick) square edge profile is desired.

Variants

90" Full Package -  includes eight - 90" pieces (60 linear feet) and eight - 90" backwall pieces (60 linear feet).

90" Half Package -  includes four - 90" pieces (30 linear feet) and four - 90" backwall pieces (30 linear feet).

EuroForm has a 1-1/4" tall front edge. You are only pouring 1" of concrete. To pour concrete this thin, a special mix must be used. We highly recommend the use of our White Countertop Mix . It is specially designed to be cast this thin without strength or cracking issues.

For an undermount sink, our regular sink form can be used but you must use the EuroForm Knockout

To use, place 1/4" cement board (Durock or Hardie Backer) on top of the cabinets. The cement board should be cut flush to the edge of the cabinets and held in place with silicon caulking. The forms will then be screwed into the cement board with a 3/8" x #10 panhead screw . After the concrete is poured, the forms are snapped off along the designated "break point" to reveal a beautiful clean edge.

Almost Ideal

"Forms worked great. I would recommend reinforcing seams with a scab plate, that go over 8ft. Keep forms out of direct sun to avoid unwanted warping."

Thoroughly impressed with the product/ experience

"excellent simplified product, I remodeled my kitchen myself and used everything recommended by z counterforms. 2 years later my counter tops have normal wear and tear but look excellent, I get compliments on them every time. install was simple, follow the instructions, follow the YouTube videos they provide and all will go well. normally I am skeptical about add on products but I sold out to z counter forms and bought the liqui crete, fiberglass mesh, chairs, the "whole 9". obviously its tedious to mix 9 different times in 9 buckets but I was prepared. it went seamlessly. I bought the black integral color and it definitely worked just not as black as I wanted so I added a stain to it and love it. I used the urethane top coat, normal wear and tear but still cleans very well. could have vibrated more but that's on me for doing it solo, it would have saved me some time patching bubbles but again, my fault. excellent product, Well thought out in every aspect and this is the one stop shop to get the countertops you desire at a fraction of the price with a little effort. to close, I got a quote for basic black counters and it was $9,800. I spent $750 with z and $50 at Lowes for cement and trowel, screws and caulk. dedicate some time and focus and you will not be disappointed."

Euroform Square Edge

"Firt attempt installing concrete contertops. This was exactly what I needed. I built an outdoor kitchen for granite counter and bar tops. Once I got several quotes for 3CM granite I chose to try concrete. Given the framing was done which included a backsplash, I needed to keep the thickness at about the 3CM level. This was the solution and worked perfectly for my application. Super easy to use and turned out better than expected!"

Great forms and countertop system

"I purchased the euro forms, along with the Z white concrete and associated accessories for my kitchen counters and basement kitchenette. The forms and entire Z system is very easy to follow and use. My counters look awesome and this company made that possible. Highly recommend the euroforms and white concrete."

Easy to use

"The product is easy to use. Instructional videos are a big help. This was our first time making a concrete countertop. We had great success pouring and leveling. After it dried, we noticed rough areas and air bubble holes. My only complaint is there wasn't any info on how to make slurry. There's a few seconds of applying it in the video, but it didn't really help us. We had to resort to looking up videos on You Tube."

Pros and cons

"Pros : need less cement, easy to work with and to snap off. Square edges are nice and neat. Cons: not deep enough to use 5/8” Durock . It was hard to find 1/4” durock in my area so I had to use 5/8”. I found durock 5/8 was not too strong to work with, I was afraid that it would break anytime wile cutting it and manipulate it so I can’t imagine using 1/4”… So my countertop is a bit higher than expected and I had to figure out who to hide the little gap that durock 5/8 created between the countertop and the cabinet If I could go back in time, I would use the square edge form"

Q&A

How far can the Euroform hangover? I plan on using your white concrete, but because it’s thinner what is the max length it can support itself? 6 inches?
This mix is typically safe to have a 12" unsupported overhang even at at the 1" thickness of the EuroForm. You will need to temporarily support the cement board substrate for a few days while pouring and curing. If you want to go larger than 12" or want to err on the safe side, we do sell hidden support brackets for over hanger here - https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/collections/floating-countertop-brackets
Is it possible to get the Eoroform to go around a curve. I have an Evo griddle and a Big Green Egg, both are round and I need to pour a round hole.
Yes, it is possible. Watch our video on how to cut relief notches in the form here - https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/blogs/countertop-videos/how-to-bend-the-square-edge-form
Can the thinner euro style forms be used on a counter intended for outdoor use (Northeast)
Yes, but I would highly recommend using our White Countertop Mix for the added strength and make sure the countertop is very well supported.
Hi - I am wanting to purchase the Euroform. I see that the suggestion is to use the white concrete mixture. However I am wanting to have a darker natural concrete look. What are my options?
Look at out Gunmetal Color-Pack or Charcoal Terra-Tint as a way to color the white mix to make it gray. Links Below. https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/collections/stains-and-integral-colors/products/color-pack?variant=40303991587004 https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/collections/stains-and-integral-colors/products/z-terra-tint
with the euro form white can y with the euro form white can you add a color to it or can you seal it with color?
Yes, you can add an integral pigment like any of our Color-Packs or our line of Terra-Tint or you can stain it with Aqua-Stain UV after it cures.
I want to stick with the conventional concrete color, rather than using the whit counter mix what would you recommend using, and would you still recommend using the fiber lathe or would you use a steel wire reinforcement?
I would look at our Liqui-Crete additive. It is just an admix to help increase the strength and flowability of a store bought bag of Quikrete but it will not change the color. You will be left with the natural light gray concrete color.
Is your fiber glass mesh system to be used with the euroform even though it’s a thinner pour?
Yes, you just have to make Sure you are using the Euro Z Clip to support the mesh.
What type of support do you need under the 1/4” cement board? Full plywood support, strips of plywood 16” on center?
If this is going on top of cabinets, you will just need 1/4" backer board and the cabinets will be the support. If you have any wide base cabinets say 36" or so, you may want to temporarily support the backer board from underneath. Normally a 2x4 leg inside the cabinet box while the concrete is being poured will suffice.
Hi! Are the countertop forms reusable? My best friend and I were thinking about splitting them. We both want to use them for projects. Thanks so much
It is a great idea to split an order and it may help you save on shipping but you will need to make sure you have enough for each project individually as the forms are not reusable due to their break-away design.
